Happy New Year!
Here’s to welcoming 2024!
Dear Family and Friends,
As we bid farewell to 2023, we wanted to take a moment to share with you the whirlwind of events that made this year truly special for us - The Wrabels!
The year kicked off with both of us immersed in our respective endeavors. I, embarked on a new adventure as an athletic trainer at a small all-girls school, adding a side gig with a semi-professional soccer team. The days were packed with planning our dream wedding, from crafting welcome boxes to designing our own newspaper and everything in between.
Meanwhile, John was tirelessly working at an electrical switchgear company, burning the midnight oil to hit the books in the evenings. The love and dedication poured into every detail of our wedding were palpable, and we owe a huge thank you to John's family for their invaluable help with invitations, wax stamps, and more. Thanks go out to my Mom and Grandma for supplying the beautiful welcome boxes for our hotel guests on wedding weekend.
July 22nd, 2023 marked the day we became The Wrabels, and I officially earned the title of a "Wrabe Babe." The wedding day was nothing short of magical, with every moment cherished and shared with our nearest and dearest.
Honeymoon plans were momentarily shelved when John got into a Master's Program just days before the wedding. His resounding "yes" led us into a whirlwind of apartment hunting and moving within two weeks. As John delved into his studies at Marian University in Indianapolis, I wrapped up my commitments in our hometown.
The next few months saw us navigating a long-distance marriage, with weekend trips bridging the gap until November when I made the move to Indy. Finally reunited, we embraced the next chapter of our lives together.
My career took an unexpected turn as I joined IU Health in an Orthopedic Trauma Clinic, where every day brings new and exhilarating challenges. John's accelerated studies demanded a different kind of schedule, and we learned to balance our time, especially with my regular work hours.
Christmas was a heartwarming reunion back in Cleveland, followed by a thrilling New Year celebration in Las Vegas. These moments of joy were a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of wedding planning and the rollercoaster that was 2023.
As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the blessings, the love of family and friends, and the journey we've embarked on together. Here's to an incredible 2023 and the many more adventures that await us in the years to come.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a fantastic start to the new year!
With love, Brittany, John and Penelope - The Wrabels
